Festive Foxy Friends for #TGIFC68

On September 1 you will be able to order from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. There are so many great things in it but today I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at the new Jolly Hat builder punch. It works well with so many other stamp sets and punches and I really love it with the Foxy Friends set. You can put a Christmas spin on any stamp set now!

This set of cards is a quick set that you can whip up in no time. It is like a stamp-a-stack with a difference. I thought that it tied in well with this week's challenge over at TGIF. I tried doing my slash on the angle  but it didn't suit the design and scale so I have tweaked the sketch a little - that's allowed right????

I love cats so of course that was my first choice for this set of cards! The Foxy Friends bundle makes it easy to make so many different furry friends.

The note cards from Stampin' Up! are a great size and of great quality. Just grab 4, choose some DSP and coordinating cardstock and a stamp set and away you go. This design is perfect for this DSP paper stack as you get 2 cards from each piece of paper. By slashing it and moving apart you get a space for your sentiment as well as being economical. You can even flip one of the pieces over if it suits your design.

I usually work in metric but as these note cards measure 5" x 3 1/2" I worked in inches for this set. For each note card you need to cut:
  • 1 mat 4 7/8" x 3 3/8"
  • 1 piece of DSP 4 3/4" x 2 3/4"
The DSP is cut towards the bottom third but I didn't measure it. You then adhere the mat and DSP to the note card front ensuring that you centre the DSP on the mat and have even borders. Stamp your sentiment and add your punched Christmas Critter.

Each envelope and card inside are decorated the same way. You might not recognise the stamp set that I have used to stamp the sentiments. It is one of the new ones in the new holiday catalogue. It is called Shake & Celebrate (142059). Make sure you keep an eye out for it along with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch (141847) from September 1st.

To complete the set I needed a reindeer.......

............. a koala ...........

....and of course a fox!
